How do I transfer my domain to Cambuilder?

Note: ICANN regulations prohibit transferring domain names (except .au) that were registered or previously transferred in the last 60 days. For more information, click here.

Before you can start getting paid for a payout program other than the standalone Lifetime Revenue Share, you must transfer ownership of your domain to Cambuilder. The process required to transfer your domain varies slightly from one domain registrar to another, but generally includes the following tasks:

  1. Ensure that the Administrative Contact (or Admin-C) for your domain uses an email address where you receive email. If your domain uses a private registration, you need to make it public so that the email address on record can be set to an email address where you receive email.
Note: For .au domains, the Registrant Contact (or Reg-C) is the domain contact used for communication when transferring the domain.
Tip: After 24 hours or so, you can confirm that the domain contact information has been updated by performing a WHOIS search on your domain. All contacts for your domain are included in the results.
  2. If your domain is locked, so that transfers are prevented, you need to unlock it before the transfer can proceed. Your registrar will have a simple method for unlocking your domain; typically, you simply click a button in the control panel for your domain account.
  3. Obtain an authorization code (also known as an EPP code or transfer key) from your registrar. Your registrar might already display an authorization code for your domain in the control panel for the account, or will send one to the Admin-C email address upon request. Some domain name extensions, primarily country-code top-level domain names (ccTLDs), do not require an authorization code.
Note: A Unique Domain Authentication Identifier (UDAI) is used for .nz domains instead of an authorization code.

Once you've ensured that your domain is unlocked and you have an authorization code, email your domain name and the authorization code to Cambuilder Support so that we can begin the transfer.

Please be advised it can take up to five calendar days for the domain to be released to Cambuilder, once you've authorized the release of your domain.
